From Braxton:
Braxton Brewing Company is extremely excited to be releasing its 2017 edition Union Saison. This beer has been aged in wine barrels and is celebrated in three different variants — Rouge, Blanc and Bleu.
“We are all very excited about this year’s release of Union,” said Adam Rauckhorst, Braxton Brewing Company Head Brewer. “This is our second year making this beer, and I think this time we have really hit the mark. The oaky, dry, fruity character from the wine barrels complements the character of the base beer rather than overwhelming it.”
The name Union is a celebration of both the brewery’s origin and the product itself. Braxton Brewing Company was born in a garage on Braxton Drive in Union, Kentucky. This is where Co-Founder & COO, Evan Rouse, began homebrewing.
Union Saison also celebrates the beautiful harmony between the farmhouse saison beer style and French Oak. Union was aged in both, red and white wine barrels. Union is being bottled in and sold in three different variants:
- Rouge: aged in Red Wine Barrels
- Blanc: aged in White Wine Barrels
- Bleu: blend of Red Wine Barrel and White Wine Barrel-aged saison with blueberries added
An extremely limited number of 22 oz. bottles are available now to be reserved. Bottles are $15/bottle, limit two variants per person. Braxton has also introduced a Union Tulip Glass for $10.
Customers can save $5 when all three bottles and the glass are purchased together. If any bottles are not reserved by Friday, June 30th at 5pm, they will be released to the public. The brewery does not expect many bottles, if any at all, to be available without a reservation.
More information on each beer and pickup instructions can be found on the product pages.
Union will be tapped on draft at the brewery on Friday, June 30th. A very limited amount of the beer will be distributed on draft in Northern Kentucky, Cincinnati, Louisville, Lexington and Dayton. Bottles will not be distributed.
Bottles can be reserved here: Rouge, Blanc and Bleu. The glass can be purchased here. You can save $5 on the glass by purchasing the full allotment here.
Remaining bottle quantities and updates will be communicated through Braxton Brewing Company’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
