New Belgium Renaming Heavy Melon To Juicy Watermelon

Here’s a peek at some interesting new packaging coming from New Belgium.  This appears to be a new name for Heavy Melon, but stay tuned on that one and we’ll see if this is a regional-specific package only.  This is Juicy Watermelon and the beer will remain at 5%-AbV.  This is the 12oz bottle and the 12oz Ball can is below.

    Drank a lot of Heavy Melon beer last summer (2016). Thought the Juicy Watermelon would be comparable but not so. Heavy Melon had a slight refreshing taste of watermelon and very little lime taste. Juicy Watermelon is just the opposite, more lime taste, less Watermelon. Juicy Watermelon is more like bud light lime than Heavy Melon.

    I loved heavy Mellon. It was going to be my new go-to every summer. Whatever they did, I wish they hadn't. Back to looking for a tasty refreshing summer brew once again.
