From Center Of The Universe:
Ashland, VA, November 14th: Four years ago, the owners of Center of the Universe Brewing Company (COTU) donned green suits and opened the doors of their Ashland brewery. They’ve grown, expanded, and given the place a facelift since then. This weekend they’re ready to celebrate another year with a three day bash and the opening of their sister brewery, Origin Beer Lab.
Origin Beer Lab will be opening their doors for the first time on Friday, November 18th at 4pm for a Grand Opening Preview. They will be serving three unique Center of the Universe Brewing beers and sharing their future plans for the space with the visitors.
Hours for Origin are as follows:
-
Friday: 4pm-9pm
-
Saturday: 12pm-9pm
-
Sunday: 12pm-8pm
Over at COTU, the weekend kicks off with the release of The Richard Imperial IPA.
The Richard, which was supposed to be Pocahoptas, was the first beer COTU brewed once their equipment came in and they had their permits. Getting to know your new brewing equipment can be tricky, and this bad boy, well, just turned out bigger than they had planned. And so, The Richard Imperial IPA was born! In addition to The Richard’s return, The Royal We will be playing from 6:30pm-9:30pm and Happy Empanadas will be serving outside. Friday hours are 4pm-9pm.
On Saturday COTU will be tapping a slew of beers from their cellar and a couple of new seasonal variants. The beers will be tapped throughout Saturday and Sunday and include:
-
2014 Orange is the New Stout
-
