Today we get our very first look at two new fruit-forward beers coming from Anchor Brewing. Blood Orange Blonde is a blonde ale brewed with blood oranges. This beer will hit 4.5%-AbV and you’re looking at the 12oz can (kegs & 12oz bottles coming too--below). We also have Blackberry Daze IPA and it is an IPA with blackberries added during secondary fermentation. This beer will hit 6.5%-AbV and it will be packaged in 12oz bottles and kegs (below). Stay tuned here for 2017 release details.
From The Label:
Blackberry Daze IPA is a synergistic union of blackberries & hops. Because the blackberry was once wildly rampant in California, it is our ideal choice for this singular Anchor brew. Blackberry Daze gets its hop bitterness and some of its hop aroma in the brewhouse. Most of the action, however, is in the cellar, where the fruit is added during secondary fermentation. A special blend of loamy, herbaceous hops for dry-hopping complements the brightness and deep complexity of the blackberries. The result is a funky synthesis of rich earth & ripe fruit, hop bitterness and blackberry tartness, with alluring color and aromas up front, sublimely intense flavors, and a refreshingly dryish finish.
