MIDLAND, MI --Midland Brewing Company has partnered with Rochester-based Kosch Dining Solutions to launch a new restaurant, beer garden and outdoor event space in Midland. Opening in early 2017, it will be part of MBC’s brewery location at 5011 N Saginaw Rd., where extensive remodeling has already begun.
MBC has operated a micro-brewery since 2010 and this year is making a major investment in upgrading and expanding into full food service. With a new kitchen, remodeled seating indoors, and a new outdoor beer garden connected to the Pere Marquette Rail Trail, the venue will be ideal for casual dining, meetings, corporate parties and special events.
“We are excited to bring a new dining destination experience to Midland, for the enjoyment of the Great Lakes Bay Region,” said Dave Kepler, Chairman of Midland Brewing Company. “It’s a great combination of Keith and Dennis Lawrence, who are the experts behind brewing our great beer, and Kosch Dining Solutions, experts in serving great food with great service.”
Kosch Dining Solutions has 35 years of experience in food service management, and owning or operating locations such as The Boathouse Restaurant in Traverse City, Alpine Tavern & Eatery in Gaylord, and Paint Creek Country Club in Lake Orion. With the partnership agreement in place, Kosch will be responsible for all operations of the restaurant and beer garden.
“This project is a perfect fit for both parties,” said Gordie Kosch, President & CEO of Kosch Dining Solutions. “The city is crying out for a great place for friends to meet for a delicious meal and some great beers, and Midland Brewing Company has a wonderful vision to provide just that. We’re thrilled to be able to add our expertise from the planning stages through to the grand opening and beyond.”
