From Blue Moon:
DENVER, CO Sept. 12, 2016 This week, Blue Moon Brewing Co. celebrates the grand opening of its new brewery in Denver's River North (RiNo) Art District, following a soft opening in early July. With 24 beers on tap and a full-service kitchen, the Blue Moon Brewery RiNo will join Blue Moon's original Denver home base, The SandLot in Coors Field, as a hub for inspiration, ingenuity and the creation of future Blue Moon beers.
Now open Sundays through Thursdays from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., Blue Moon Brewery RiNo features state-of-the-art brewing technology such as a new, two-barrel pilot system for test beers and a brew house capable of 20 barrels with an annual capacity of 10,000 barrels. Nestled within the 26,000-square-foot space, the brew pub has seating for 450 people, a seasonal menu, an open-air patio facing the mountains and a unique, special event room positioned among the brewing vessels.
"For the last 21 years, we have been experimenting with & creating new beers, and having a lot of fun with that process," said Blue Moon founder Keith Villa. "Now, we're excited to bring that same creative spirit to our new, inspired space."
Under a fitting full moon on Friday, September 16, Blue Moon Brewing Co. will host an invite-only grand opening event where guests will experience Blue Moon Brewery RiNo's creative space and offerings. Guests will enjoy a wide variety of the Blue Moon portfolio; delicious recipes by Los Angeles chef Roy Choi of Kogi food truck fame and Blue Moon Brewery RiNo's executive chefDarrell Jensen; original art by Colorado Crush; and outdoor musical performances by Grammy-nominated singer Mayer Hawthorne and indie rock band Family of the Year. Attendees will also have the opportunity to vote for the new brewery's first community-created beer.
"The RiNo Art District is widely recognized as a neighborhood that inspires creative thinking," said Blue Moon brewmaster John Legnard. "We're excited to become part of this thriving RiNo neighborhood, and we hope people from everywhere come and enjoy themselves at the new brewery. It's a great space, and a unique chance to get a closer look at what happens behind the scenes at Blue Moon."
