We brought you a peek at this beer back in April, and now this from Heavy Seas & Terrapin:
BALTIMORE, MD — Heavy Seas Beer is excited to announce the 3rd release in its
2016 Partner Ships series of collaboration beers – a Barrel-aged Rye Wit brewed with
Terrapin Beer Company. This series will feature beers produced in collaboration with
other regionally and nationally recognized brewers in the spirit of friendship, creativity,
& adventure. For 2016, Heavy Seas is partnering with Maine Beer, Troegs
Independent Brewing, Terrapin Beer, and Stone Brewing Company. The Partner Ships
series is brewed at Heavy Seas in Baltimore and celebrates the pioneering spirit of
American craft beer today.
The Terrapin collaboration beer, releasing in August 2016, will be a 6% ABV Barrel-
aged Rye Wit. Sixteen weeks of white wine barrel-aging gives this Rye Wit beer a
complexity never before seen in the style. With aromas of light fruit, spice, & citrus,
balanced by a spicy malt backbone, the third installment in the Partner Ships series is
sure to delight the senses.
The product specs are:
Style: Barrel-aged Rye Wit
ABV: 6%
IBU: 20
Hops: Cascade, Amarillo
Malts: 2-Row, Wheat, Rye, Biscuit
