From Brooklyn:
I stumbled on this admittedly accurate rip of our Summer Ale label on Twitter recently, and promptly sank into turmoil. Sure, this is a pretty overt copy of our label. But the thing is, I really like Bad Timing Records. I’ve been listening to Kevin Devine since I was a half-punk, mostly-stupid middle schooler on Long Island. And the fact that they even used the right font is genuinely impressive to me.
I was on the verge of total forgiveness, when I spotted something else: Bad Timing Records koozies! As a koozie disciple, I was elated until spotting the quote on the bottom: “You can have any brew you want, as long as it’s a Corona.-Dominic Toretto.” Woof. Of all the knife twists, I never expected Vin Diesel to wield the blade.
So, a reluctant cheers to Bad Timing Records on this one. Thanks for the music, and well done on the font. But please, let’s get a Summer Ale in that koozie instead.
