From Rogue:
MALTA, MT — High winds in northeastern Montana have derailed several train cars, including one filled with Rogue beer.
A train carrying Rogue beer was heading east through Montana this past Saturday when it encountered strong air currents. As a safety precaution, the conductor brought the train to a full stop. But then the winds picked up and blew over a number of cars. No one was injured.
According to reports, most of the train cars involved in the accident were empty. But one was transporting cases of Rogue Ales from Newport, Ore. to Rogue Nation citizens around the country. It is believed that the shipment was headed to Kalamazoo but replacements are already on their way.
Among the lost were bottles and kegs of Dead Guy Ale, Honey Kolsch,Hazelnut Brown Nectar, Brutal IPA, Cold Brew IPA and all 4 members of the Hop Family.
The accident occurred in the evening and was quickly cleaned up. Tracks reopened by 2pm the next day.
Rogue Ales & Spirits is still assessing the damage but working hard to ensure that there is no interruption in the continued enjoyment of World-Class Ales & Lagers across all 50 states.
