Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina Files Suit Against Anheuser-Busch

The Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina has filed a federal lawsuit against Budweiser maker Anheuser-Busch, calling its use of a tribal trademark in advertisements "immoral, unethical, oppressive, (and) unscrupulous."

The suit, filed in the eastern district of North Carolina this week, alleges that by using its circular tribe logo and slogan in beer advertisements at gas stations, Anheuser-Busch is creating the false impression that the tribe is affiliated with Budweiser.
