Grapevine, TX – May 9, 2016 – In June, Grapevine Craft Brewery will be releasing it’s first fruit beer to market in draft and six-packs, the Prickly Pear Wheat. The beer is the creation of head brewer, Jonny Daylett and was initially slated for release with the opening of Frisco City Grain Works almost three years ago. With that startup never getting off the ground, Daylett eventually landed in Grapevine and has hit the ground running with acclaimed releases from their Brewers’ Reserve series, most notably, the Brewers’ Reserve Double IPA now found on draft in select locations across North Texas.
The Prickly Pear Wheat is a 6.1% ABV wheat ale and boasts a vibrant and striking magenta color as the beer is made from real fruit puree and not a flavor extract, giving the beer a natural prickly pear color. Don’t miss out on summer drinking at it’s finest. Pick up a fresh, local beer made with real fruit. Texas Made. Texas Proud.
