The Third Annual Fort Collins Beer Week (FCBW) will take place June 1826, 2016. The Fort Collins brewing industry positively impacts our local economy with a unique collaborative culture, job creation, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Fort Collins Beer Week is designed to highlight the impact of the industry and celebrate the relationships within it. “We produce Fort Collins Beer Week as a fun way to bring people together around the best of Fort Collins and the people that make it great,” says Kristina Cash, Founder of Fortified Collaborations. “This week really gives our brewers and business owners the opportunity to show off what makes them shine.”
The week will kick off with the 5th Annual Brewers Olympics Beer Festival Extraordinaire hosted by Go West TShirt Company on Saturday, June 18,from noon5pm. The event benefits the House That Beer Built II through Habitat for Humanity. Thirteen of your favorite Fort Collins breweries will compete against each other in various games of skill and chance, including a Beer Journey Obstacle Course and Know Your Local Beer tasting. Fans will cheer on their favorite brewery, have opportunities to participate in the games, and enjoy spectator sports, all while supporting a good cause. Activities at this family friendly will include a DJ, food trucks, the Local Bartender Dunk Tank, a bouncy house, and more. Admission is $10 and includes one beer token; tickets purchased in advance online get two beer tokens and an opportunity to give your favorite brewery extra points. Kids 12 and under are free.
The rest of the week will include special tappings, tastings, and events at venues around Fort Collins. The week closes with the Colorado Brewers Festival June 2526 from 11am5pm at Washington Park in Downtown Fort Collins.
