Ever since the trademark application hit, we’ve been following along to see how Uinta Brewing would use “Free Form.” Our first clues came from GABF 2015 and as it turns out Uinta will be launching the first two beers in a line of new gluten-free beers. Free Form IPA and Free Form Belgian-STyle Blonde will be Gluten free (not gluten reduced) and they will be brewe don Uinta’s former brewing system (now to be dedicated to just gluten-free brewing). The beers will use buckwheat and millet.
I expect to have more details and photos (northwest media preview event is 4/19) shortly but I’m hearing Free Form IPA will hit 4.3%-AbV and it will use Citra and Ella hops and Free Form Belgian-style Blonde will hit 4.3%-AbV and use Sterling & Opal hops, coriander and orange peel. The beers will be package din 12oz bottles (4 packs) and I expect the release will be in May, at least in some parts of the country with the rest to follow in June.
