From Drake’s:
You got a little sneak peak on Hopocalypse Day, and now for the first time ever, we’re releasing Hopocalypse White Label in 22-ounce bombers. Freshly filled bottles of this mouthwatering limited release Double IPA will make their debut at Drake's Dealership and Drake's Barrel House on Saturday, March 19, at noon and will be on sale until supplies run out.
We will be shipping bombers and kegs to a handful of our favorite bottle shops and taprooms around California and Northern Nevada starting early next week. Check with your local craft beer spot, as there won’t be much of this beer to go around.
Hops, hops and more late addition hops, malted wheat, and a touch of rye makes for a creamy, round mouthfeel. While a slick troupe of intercontinental hops—including Amarillo, Hallertau Blanc, Mandarina Bavaria, and Motueka—packs this juicy, unfiltered beast with notes of lemon zest, stone fruit and tangerine. Even though the beer is hella cloudy and may look like a “white ale,” there are absolutely no spices or orange peel, just our clean house ale yeast letting the sexy hops shine through.
Representing the White Horse and Conquest, White Label is the third release in our Four Horsemen of the Hopocalypse series, which will conclude in late April with the release of Red Label, a Blood Orange Double IPA.
Brewmaster John Gillooly is quick to embellish: "White Label. It’s a thing. Drink it."
John recommends drinking this beer as freshly as humanly possibly, with a maximum 60-day shelf life. Read more from John about how they conceived this new beast, as well as dive into all the beer geek stats and tasty food pairings.
