From Destihl:
(Raleigh, NC) – Mutual Distributing Company announced today that it has added DESTIHL Brewery to its
statewide beer portfolio. DESTIHL® is based in Bloomington, Illinois.
“We are extremely excited about the addition of DESTIHL to our portfolio,” said Michael Hayek, Statewide
Beer Division Manager of Mutual Distributing. “In a few short years, DESTIHL has earned multiple awards,
including Great American Beer Festival® (GABF) medals and Best of Show at the 2015 National Wood-Aged
Beer Competition held at the Festival of Barrel Aged Beers (FOBAB) in Chicago, and has quickly become
known for their year-round Wild Sour Series in cans. We look forward to boycotting bland together in North
Carolina!”
In February, DESTIHL announced plans to build a new $14 million production facility in Normal, Illinois.
“Building the new production brewery is making it possible to move forward with our long-anticipated
partnership with Mutual Distributing”, said DESTIHL’s Founder and CEO, Matt Potts. “We are thrilled about
this exciting opportunity for DESTIHL beers to be available in an awesome craft beer state while working
alongside such a great distribution partner who has demonstrated an immense and steadfast passion for our
brewery’s wide array of unique beers.”
“We’ve been fans of DESTIHL for a while now, and based on the long lines we have seen for their beers at
national festivals, we are not the only ones,” said Scott Cash, VP of Sales for Mutual.
DESTIHL will begin distributing in the North Carolina market this May with launch events planned across the
state.
