Here’s a new bottle and interesting flavor combination coming from Angel City. This 2016 Limited release beer is called Salted Caramel Gose and it will now be packaged in 22oz bottles and kegs. This beer hits 4.3%-AbV and I’m very curious to taste it. This update from Angel City (20 Apr 2016):
“Salted caramel is such a popular flavor profile, so we figured, ‘let’s try making a beer with similar flavors,’” said Layton Cutler, head brewer for Angel City Brewery. “Using locally sourced caramel, we combine what is classically a salty, savory beer with the vanilla and brown sugar notes of the caramel to create a sweet spin. The final product has a salty-sweet flavor that finishes with a sour kick.”
This unique beer is made with wheat and EuroPils and caramel malts, Hallertauer hops, vanilla, sea salt, caramel and lactose, and has 10 IBUs and an ABV of 4.3%. It will be for sale at the brewery’s retail store, as well as at select craft beer stores across LA.
