From SLO Brew:

As the highly anticipated opening of SLO Brew’s new brewing facility draws closer, San Luis Obispo’s iconic craft brewery continues to tease its fans by revealing tantalizing details of the SLO Brew Rock’s upcoming features.

SLO Brew Rock will have over 14,500 total square feet of indoor and outdoor floor space, including a 10,000 square foot, 30-barrel capacity brewhouse. In a nod to its storied past, the brewery will transfer an original 1988 copper brewing kettle directly from the beloved SLO Brew pub in Downtown San Luis Obispo. SLO Brew Rock is aiming to produce at least 2,500 barrels by the end of 2016 and 5,000 barrels the year after in addition to increasing the distribution of some of its most popular brews.

SLO Brew Rock will be utilizing a Criveller rotary canning line and brewhouse equipment, as well as a Meheen bottling line when the facility opens in 2016. Fan favorite craft beers will be produced into easy-to-enjoy cans that keep in line with the laid-back Central Coast lifestyle and will be distributed through local retailers. Seasonal and specialty beers will be available in 22-ounce bottles for craft beer lovers to enjoy at home and at the Rock’s tasting room and restaurant.

An exciting addition, SLO Brew Rock will be the first brewery on the Central Coast to feature iPourIt technology in its tap room and restaurant, allowing customers to pour their own beers straight from self-serve taps. With iPourIt technology, SLO Brew Rock brings their taps out from behind the bar, giving customers the freedom to sample and enjoy SLO Brew’s craft beers on tap at their own pace.

In addition to the iPourIt technology, craft beer lovers are rejoicing with the announcement of SLO Brew’s new beer club. The tiered program is designed to reward the brewery’s loyal fans with discounts, incentives, exclusive beer offerings and other member benefits, including special purchase access to SLO Brew’s new 22-ounce seasonal and specialty craft beer bottles.

SLO Brew Rock’s features include a beer garden, an outdoor event space, an additional music venue and a spacious tap room serving casual pub fare along with opportunities to sample SLO Brew’s small batch rye whiskey.

SLO Brew Rock will open early 2016 and is located by the San Luis Obispo airport at 855 Aerovista Place, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. For more information, please visit www.SLOBrew.com.
