A Manhattan man has served Miller Brewing Co. with a proposed class action lawsuit alleging he and other drinkers of Foster's beer were duped into thinking it is made in Australia.
Leif Nelson, 37, is hopped up about advertising slogans like "Foster's Australian for Beer" and "How to Speak Australian" with actors who have Australian accents which, he says, falsely give the impression that the beer is imported from Down Under.
The suit, filed in Brooklyn Federal Court, contends that Foster's moved its beer brewing operation to Fort Worth, Texas, in 2011 to save money.
