From Foothills:
Last year, we took a Moravian cookie and turned it into a beer. Sort of.
Apparently you liked the idea - even though we only poured it at the pub, it was gone in less than a week.
So we made more this year. And bottled it. And partnered with Salem Baking (you know, the Moravian cookie people) to throw a big release party at our tasting room on
Black Friday, November 27, from 12-10pm.
We'll have plenty of Moravian Porter on tap, as well as bottles for sale. Salem Baking will be here with a truckload of Moravian cookies. Chef Shane is whipping up some special cookie-inspired dishes. And La Vie En Rose food truck will be here.
new Foot Men Series beer - Cranberry Wheat
OK, we couldn't make a beer out of turkey or stuffing - so we made one out of cranberries! Brewer Stephen Bethea has created a delicious cranberry wheat that's perfect for this time of year.
It pours a beautiful cranberry color with a slightly pink head, and you'll definitely get cranberry tartness up front. But you'll also get some balanced sweetness from the addition of Mandarin Orange essence.
This delicious beer is available on tap only at our pub and tasting room!
EXCLUSIVE - our last IPA of the Month
We're giving our email subscribers an exclusive first look at our December IPA of the Month label. As fate would have it, we have a fitting final story for our #FoothillsIPAdogSeries.
We picked all twelve dogs at the beginning of 2015, and beautiful Violet here was chosen as our December dog. But diagnosed with bone cancer early in the year, she passed away in April. With her owner's permission, we decided to keep her on as our last label dog.
So enjoy this double IPA in tribute. And raise your glass to the dogs we love - and the dogs we’ve lost.
Best part? Our tasting room is only 5 minutes from Hanes Mall. So when the crowds finally get to you (and you know they will), come relax and have a beer and a cookie with us!
And if you happen to be in downtown Winston-SalemFriday, Moravian Porter will also be available on tap and in bottles at our pub.
Our blog has more about the evolution of this beer.
