Victory Headwaters Ale - Highlighting Water In Beer

It’s always exciting to find a Victory Brewing care package at mybeerbuzz headquarters, but today it’s about more than just beer.  Victory Headwaters Ale has been a favorite and “go-to” beer for me since we did the Northeastern PA debut on the radio in March of 2011. Quite simply it’s a very drinkable, and very satisfying beer that I enjoy every chance I get; but again it’s more than just that.

Victory has recently rebranded & renamed this beer to Headwaters Ale to emphasize what they consider the most important ingredient in beer; water.  In Victory’s words, “Headwaters Ale acts as a physical representation of the many green initiatives the brewery implements during all phases of production.”  As if that’s not enough, Victory donates a portion of the sale of Headwaters Ale draft, cans, and bottles to conservation groups that work to protect our watersheds.

So how can you help?  You can help save “the future of craft beer and the planet,” 12-ounces at a time by drinking Victory Headwaters Ale.  Remember that your choices affect the water we drink and since craft beer is mostly made of water, your choices affect the beers we drink.

I think this is a great example of how we can all not only protect and benefit our environment, but also enjoy a great beer and a win-win proposition for the future of craft beer at the same time.

As a bonus Victory included a Headwaters Blossom Kit complete with a mini-watering-can flower pot, a seed packet and a peat pellet.  Stay tuned as I show off the results this spring.

If you haven’t tried Victory Headwaters Ale, now is a great time to do so.  The new cans look great and I know you’re going to love the beer.  If you have tried Headwater’s Ale, do like I plan to do and support the cause 12-ounces at a time.  Actually I plan to support the cause 228-ounces at a time (yes that’s a case), but either way be sure to try Headwaters Ale and let me know what YOU think.
