From Tired Hands:
ARDMORE, Pa.--On Tuesday, Sept. 29, Tired Hands Brewing Company (THBC) will release the second batch of its wildly anticipated, beer Nectocooler at their it original Brew Café location (16 Ardmore Avenue, Ardmore, Pa.).
The original batch — a tart summer bier brewed with wheat, hopped gently with Simcoe and Citra, soured in the kettle, then conditioned on top of nectarine purée — was brewed over the summer and largely flew under the radar until news of its release went viral among beer geeks and Sci Fi fans across the nation. By that point, the batch had sold out in house, leaving 80s culture enthusiasts around the country pining for its return and taking to social media to try to encourage the brewery to make more.
“We were equally stoked and freaked out to witness the demand for Nectocooler,” says THBC owner-brewer Jean Broillet IV. “To me, this beer is equal parts seasonal treat and childhood throwback… Our team is super excited to share this fresh batch with the world.”
The recipe for the seven-barrel second batch was enhanced by adding green tea for color and flavor and brewed with even more nectarines, which were locally-sourced from Three Springs Fruit Farm in Aspers, Pa. Nectocooler will be available in 4-ounce, 8-ounce and 16-ounce pours. Growlers are limited to one per person and will be available in either 32-ounce or 64-ounce amounts.
Nectocooler hits the taps at 4 p.m. when the Brew café opens its doors and, given the level of excitement nationwide, is expected to be gone within a few days or possibly even hours. Get some while you can!
