Atlanta, GASweetWater Brewing Company announces a new distributor partnership within Alabama, and is now delivering its tasty brews through Birmingham Budweiser and Bama Budweiser of Shelby County to cover the territory in and around Birmingham.

SweetWater has been popular in Alabama since it first launched here as a microbrew back in the 90’s, but we’re confident we can expose it to even more craft beer lovers,” says Jay Dobbs, President & COO of Birmingham Bud. “And with football and tailgating season upon us, the timing is perfect for a re-introduction.”

“All of us at Bama Bud are thrilled to deliver SweetWater to more retailers, bars and restaurants in our state.  We have some great opportunities for beer drinkers to discover the brand and are excited to officially kick things off,” says Matthew Hogan, Bama Bud President & COO.

With SweetWater’s new wholesaler partnership also comes an expansion of the beer lineup that will be flowing in Metro Birmingham:  420 and IPA will be joined by Take Two Pils, Hop Hash and the current seasonal catch-and-release brew (Hash Brown for fall).  “We’re stoked to deliver a more robust repertoire of our heady brews to ‘bama,” says Jeff Chassner, director of new market development for SweetWater.  “Looking forward to seeing Bama and Auburn fans enjoying SweetWater – Roll Tide and War Damn Eagle!”

Ranked among the nation’s Top 20 craft breweries in sales by volume according to the Brewer’s Association, SweetWater is touted as one of the fastest growing craft brands in the country. Locals will spot the brewery’s iconic rainbow trout tap handles and bottle/can packaging at retailers, restaurants and bars across Alabama.  Folks can follow the brewery’s Alabama Facebook page where a full list of event and sampling festivities will be featured and regularly updated.
