Short’s MMMKay India Pale Lager Returns

imageWe brought you a peek back in 2013…and now this from Short’s:

What’s that you say? It’s MMMKAY day! Well, more like MMMKAY week. We’ve brewed just enough of this tasty India Pale Lager to share with Michiganders on tap and in bottles across our two peninsulas and it’s making its way to a location near you this week.

Originally produced from the final runnings of the similarly named (and similarly tasty) brew, Aww Jeah, this beer is no “little brother.” Brewed with TLC at our Elk Rapids Production Facility MMMKAY is now brewed according to its own top-secret recipe.

The initial fragrances of MMMKAY (5% ABV – 85 IBU) are of bold citrus fruit; guava, orange, and lemon. As the head settles, the aromas shift to fresh evergreen accents. Indicated by the light body and pale yellow appearance, the focus of the beer is on hops, rather than malt. An array of enjoyable American hop flavors shock the palate ranging from slightly fruity to an intense earthy pine. A bold bitterness dominates the finish, enhanced by the clean unobtrusive nature of its lager origin.

So don’t delay your next foray (to your favorite local purveyor of craft brews). Pick up a six-pack of this delicious specialty brew. Be prepared to exhale a big and deeply satisfying, “MMMKAY.”
