SEPT. 28, HARRISBURG — Harrisburg Beer Week organizers today announced the dates for the 2016 Harrisburg Beer Week to run from April 22-30, 2016.
The nine-day event is both a celebration and education of craft beer, particularly focused on the local industry and the impact it has on the greater Harrisburg area. The inaugural Harrisburg Beer Week included more than 140 events throughout the regional, from tap takeovers to seminars.
Harrisburg Beer Week will kick-off on April 22 with a VIP party in Harrisburg and closes with the “Little Big Beer Fest,” a unique festival featuring local breweries’ unique beers.
All proceeds from Harrisburg Beer Week serve to benefit Harrisburg River Rescue and Emergency Services, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, 100% volunteer emergency response and rescue services organization.
In 2015, Harrisburg Beer Week awarded HRRES with a $20,000 donation on-site at Harrisburg River Rescue’s Headquarters, 725 S. 22nd St., Harrisburg. The donation helps fund valuable facilities, equipment maintenance and training programs crucial to the safety of area residents.
