Budweiser and the Fort Worth Airpower Foundation, in conjunction with American Airlines, are proud to announce that worldwide hit-maker Pitbull will headline Budweiser’s “Here’s to the Heroes” concert at American Airlines Sky Ball XIII on Friday, Oct 23, 2015. Sky Ball is the largest fundraiser and awareness platform in support of our armed forces, with a weekend of events, including a gala, career expo and the “Here’s to the Heroes” concert.
The “Here’s to the Heroes” concert will be a tribute to our nation’s military service members and veterans. Honorees and those in attendance will include Vietnam veterans, Medal of Honor recipients and members of all five branches of the U.S. military. The evening will also include a special salute to citizen heroes, the men and women who have gone above and beyond to make a difference in their communities.
Latin music superstar Armando Christian Perez (Pitbull) will show his strong support for those who serve by taking the stage at American Airlines Hangar 5 for a concert for the attendees and honorees. Pitbull has taken the world by storm, with 12 albums and 78 hit songs on the charts, including No. 1 hits in more than 15 countries, since his debut. He has earned 10 top 10 singles and has sold more than six million albums and 70 million singles worldwide, making Pitbull a global music superstar.
“It’s an honor to be performing and entertaining this amazing group of men and women,” said Armando Christian Perez (Pitbull). “They have gone above and beyond their call of duty to protect our freedom, DALE!”
“Whether providing resources or raising funds for veterans and dependents of military families, Budweiser, its employees and its family of wholesalers have supported America’s armed forces for more than 150 years,” said Rick Nechio, Director Transit, Budweiser. “Pitbull is one of the world’s most exciting multi-platinum recording artists and we are thrilled to have him at American Airlines Sky Ball XIII.”
“American Airlines has a long history of supporting our military and their families, both in their communities and when they travel,” said Capt. Jim Palmersheim, an American Airlines pilot and Chairman of American Airlines Sky Ball. “All of us at American are privileged to serve these brave men and women, whether they’re traveling to their next mission, on leave to spend well-earned time with friends and family, or enjoying their freedom after serving their country.”
American Airlines is the presenting sponsor of Sky Ball XIII, and Budweiser is the official beer sponsor of the charitable event. For more information about Sky Ball XIII, please visit http://skyballinfo.com
