The Fourth Annual Brewers Olympics takes place as the opening event of Fort Collins
Beer Week on Saturday, June 20, from noon-5pm. Go West T-Shirt Company hosts this rowdy,
raucous, family-friendly event during which teams from 10 local breweries square off in a series
of beer-related games. Food trucks, spectator activities, a bouncy house and plenty of beer will
be available. Entrance is $10. All proceeds benefit Save the Poudre.
“We’re delighted to partner with local breweries as the beneficiary of the Brewers
Olympics!” says Gary Wockner, Executive Director. “A clean, flowing river helps make great
beer and we need their help to protect it.” As part of the activities, Save the Poudre will host a
dunk tank featuring familiar faces from local bars and breweries.
Presented by Fortified Collaborations and Wilbur’s Total Beverage, Fort Collins Beer
Week is a community-wide “un-festival” that infuses a celebration of the brewing industry into
the city’s restaurants, breweries and businesses. “Fort Collins presents such great spirit and
creativity associated with brewing,” says Kristina Cash, Founder of Fortified Collaborations.
“This week really gives our brewers and business owners the opportunity to show off what
makes them shine.”
Information on the week’s events can be found in the official Guide to Fort Collins Beer
Week, available at breweries, restaurants, bars and liquor stores throughout Fort Collins. Menu
pairings, beer dinners, tours, tastings, industry-related forums, films and other special events
hosted by participating venues are all included in the FCBW Calendar of Events listed in the
Guide and online at www.fortcollinsbeerweek.com.
Thanks to Fort Collins Beer Week Co-Presenting Sponsor, Wilbur’s Total Beverage and
to Official Sponsors: The Fort Collins Coloradoan, High Country Beverage, New Belgium,
Go West T-shirt Company, Townsquare Media and Anheuser-Busch/Fort Collins.
