GADSDEN, Ala. – May 7, 2015 – As Chattanooga’s craft beer scene continues to grow, local beer enthusiasts have a new craft beer offering to choose from with Alabama-based Back Forty Beer Company now available in accounts across the city. Distributed in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, Washington D.C. and Nashville, Back Forty’s growth into the Chattanooga market reflects the continued interest and want for quality craft beer options across the southeast.
“We are really excited to expand in a new market that is so close to home,” said Tripp Collins, COO for Back Forty. “Chattanooga’s craft beer scene is a step ahead of a lot of places in the Southeast and we’re looking forward to become a part of the craft beer community in The Scenic City.”
Chattanooga residents will be able to enjoy Back Forty’s four staple beers—Truck Stop Honey Brown Ale, Naked Pig Pale Ale, Freckle Belly IPA and Fence Post Session Ale—as well as their seasonal Paw Paw’s Peach Wheat. Back Forty will also pour their 5th Anniversary Naked Pig Pale Ale that will be tapped exclusively at the Chattanooga Craft Beer Festival on Saturday, May 9.
Packaging and selling their full portfolio of beers in traditional 12 bottles, kegs, and eventually aluminum cans, Back Forty will partner with Tennessee-based Hand Family Companies to distribute their beers to accounts throughout the Chattanooga footprint.
“There are several reasons that we were so interested in bringing Back Forty into town—their great products, incredible team, brewing innovation and their packaging flexibility,” said Austin Sawyer, Sales Director at Hand Family Companies. “With Back Forty’s headquarters just about an hour south of town, the proximity of their brewery to Chattanooga does more than just allow our team to sell a ‘local’ beer; it allows us to provide the freshest beer possible to all of our accounts.”
