Back Forty Brewing Releases Beer Vinegar

Back Forty Beer Co., known for their commitment to local products, artisans and culinary-craft beer pairings, is taking this partnership a step further with the release of their latest specialty product, small batch Beer Vinegar.

Back Forty Beer Vinegar follows last year’s release of Truck Stop Wildflower Honey—100% natural, raw honey inspired by the brewery’s award-winning flagship beer, Truck Stop Honey Brown Ale. As Alabama’s largest brewery, creating local, everyday products for people to enjoy in addition to beer was a natural step in Back Forty’s craft beer innovation.

Back Forty Beer Vinegar is fermented from in-house brews and holds the complex, malty undertones of Back Forty beer varieties. It is perfect in any recipe that calls for vinegar and especially good with traditional malt vinegar recipes such as fish & chips. The acidity of the vinegar also works well to balance the sweetness in barbecue sauce or marinades.

“With craft beer, we like to think beyond the tap room, and we wanted to be on the forefront of bringing together the craft beer and culinary worlds,” said Jason Wilson, CEO of Back Forty Beer Co. “Offering beer vinegar and honey to consumers is just another way for us to share all that craft beer can offer while continuing to mainstream the fusion of craft beer and food.”

Back Forty’s Beer Vinegar and Wildflower Honey are both available in 12-ounce glass bottles for purchase on their online store or in their tap room selling for $8.00 per 12-ounce bottle. Both varieties are also available at Whole Foods in Birmingham.

Back Forty’s line of specialty products complement existing culinary relationships and commitments that Back Forty has fostered, including a partnership with Alabama Gulf Seafood and working with chefs across the region to develop recipes that use beer as a key ingredient or to create the perfect pairing to enhance the flavors of dishes. Through their Beer Before Breakfast video series or the food labels on their bottles and cans that designate certain food and flavors that pair best with the beer, Back Forty continues to encourage consumers to enjoy their beer in a variety of ways.
