From White Birch:
A partnership between White Birch Brewing, Andy Day and Alana Wentworth
The legendary Phoenix, the bird that rises anew from it's own ashes, a metaphor for the renewing interest in our forgotten down towns. It's no secret that Andy and Alana are passionate about Derry, having opened Cask & Vine on a part of Derry two years ago that contained many abandoned storefronts and wasn't known by craft beer drinkers as a destination. Two years later, a beer lovers gem on East Broadway now finds a beer store worth visiting in the newly opened Drinkery Derry.
I have had the privilege of knowing Andy and Alana for a few years now. They are passionate beer fans and have been known to do the unexpected. Well, when Andy approached me and said he wanted to do a beer for his second Drinkery location I was honored. This Belgian style Tripel was aged on pinot noir oak chips. Andy helped brew it, bottle it and he labeled the whole batch by himself. He went a step further and said he wanted it to retail for $9 a bottle.
Since they opened ahead of schedule it'll be a couple of weeks before this beer makes it to Derry. In the interim you're welcome to visit the brewery store and check it out starting this weekend. Quantities are limited. I hope you enjoy this great beer and great new beer store.
