From DC Brau:
Washington, DC – Over the 4th of July weekend, the U.S. Open Beer Championship announced the winners for the 2014 international competition. After competing with some of the best breweries across the globe in 81 different categories, DC Brau was awarded two gold medals for The Public (American Pale Ale category) and The Citizen (Belgian Style Ale category).
"It's a huge honor to come out on top in these two categories at the U.S. Open Beer Championship,” says Brandon Skall, CEO & co--founder of DC Brau Brewing Company. “It's really nice to see our beers hold their own against the best in the world!"
Since 2009, professional and amateur brewers have entered the U.S. Open Beer Championship in the hopes of winning a gold, silver, or bronze medal against international competitors. Breweries located all over the world, such as in Germany, Australia, and the United States, entered more than 3,000 beers and ciders for this year's competition. This is the first year DC Brau has placed at the U.S. Open Beer Championships. For the full list of the 2014 winners, visit http://www.usopenbeer.com/.
