Two Roads Releasing Lil’ Heaven Session IPA Cans Year-Round

We brought you news of this beer, now the official release details from Two Roads:

Two Roads announces their newest year-round beer, a session IPA called Lil Heaven. Made with Azacca, Calypso, Equinox and Mosaic hops, this beer gives you amazing hop character and aroma all at only 4.8% ABV.

“We wanted to hop this cutting edge brew with some cutting edge hop varieties” said Brewmaster Phil Markowski. “These are some of the newest and rarest varieties; in fact, ‘Azacca’ and ‘Equinox’ were just recently given names. A few months ago they were known only by their ADHA Experimental numbers”, added Markowski, referring to the practice of assigning a name to a hop variety only after it has passed muster as a truly unique variety that expresses distinctive flavor and aroma characteristics. Only about 10% of the experimental hop varieties make it as far as getting assigned a commercial varietal name.

Lil’ Heaven’s name stems from a remote, almost secret room between the floors of our building. Rumors from former US Baird factory workers say that some employees often snuck off to what they called “Little Heaven” for naps, relaxation and perhaps some other unauthorized activity.  In honor of their respite site, we offer our newest creation, Lil’ Heaven Session IPA. Lil Heaven is easy to drink, extremely sessionable and heavenly for the beach, boat, at home- wherever your Lil’ Heaven is.
