From Ballast Point:
We enjoy our food with a little bit of heat, and sometimes we do with our beer too. Of all of our pepper beer experiments, one has taken on a life of its own: Habanero Sculpin. We know the purists out there say don’t mess with a good thing, but where’s the fun in that? We took our gold medal beer and added the golden heat of habaneros, and it turned out to be a winning combo.
So now we’re packaging it. Starting in San Diego only, we’re selling 6-packs of Habanero Sculpin. Look for the bright orange fish with the bright red “HABANERO SCULPIN” name. A note of caution: we’re still crafting this in small batches, so the heat of each 6-pack might vary.
For those of you who still just want to enjoy your pint of regular ol’ Sculpin, you now have a few more opportunities to do so this baseball season at Petco Park. In addition to our Beer Garden behind left field, we’ll also have a new location on the first base line. Called The Draft (Get it? Draft beer, baseball draft…), it’ll have 20 taps of Ballast Point beer, plus our full line of spirits in some crafty cocktails. The Padres have really decked out the ballpark with some other local favorites as well, so be sure to check it out. And go Pads!
