Some interesting news coming from Wynkoop via the Denver Post:
Denver’s pioneering Wynkoop Brewing Co. is planning to renovate basement space at its LoDo home that is now home to the Impulse Theater, making room for an expanded barrel-aging program and a tasting room to show off its recent move toward more experimental beers.
These are not the only happenings at the Wynkoop. The brewery is getting ready to release its Cowtown Milk Stout in cans in January or February, said Wynkoop spokeswoman Shannon Berner. Then in April the brewery will roll out a canned special release of Kurt’s Mile High Malt, a beer based on a recipe from novelist Kurt Vonnegut (there’s a story there).Berner said the Wynkoop is also preparing to release a mixed 12 pack of of seasonal beers in cans – its first offering in that package.
