Swamphead Brewery Moving To Larger Gainesville Facility & Adding Canning Line

Gainesville’s Swamp Head Brewery is moving and expanding. Brandon Nappy, marketing manager, said the brewery is losing to the building it now leases in a small industrial park north of Archer Road to a new, large construction project.

But the brewery has purchased five acres south of Archer Road in the same part of southwest Gainesville.

There, it will build a new 13,000-square-foot building with brewery, tap room and outdoor deck. That’s about twice as much space as it has now, where the tap room often gets packed.

Nappy said they will eventually add a canning line. Now, they have a small, mobile canner they only use for special runs. Production will also be increased, but he wasn’t sure how much.
