From Revival Beer
Nov. 4, 2013/mbb/ - BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- Most people know of Al ‘Scarface ’Capone – the notorious Chicago Gangster of the 1930’s. Few people know he produced Beer at a full-fledged brewery right up until the 1950’s. That might be about to change with the help of ‘Revival Beer’ – a Brooklyn based Craft Brewery specializing in Historic Brews.
“We wanted to bring back some of these interesting Prohibition beers & their stories before they’re completely forgotten” says Chris M, founder of Revival Beer. There ‘American Gangster’ Series aims to recreate three of the most famous beers of the Prohibition era; ‘Madden’s No 1’ an American Lager by Owney ‘The Killer’ Madden, ‘Schultz’s Dark’ an American Dark by Dutch ‘The Dutchman’ Schultz & ‘Manhattan Pale Dry’ by Al ‘Scarface’ Capone.
The line is currently being promoted on KickStarter and should be on shelves in Spring of 2014.
