From Captain Lawrence:

We are very excited to announce a very special Pilot Batch Release, Beer Book Signing & Farmer Market taking place on Saturday October 26th 2013 from 2pm - 6pm in the tasting room. There is no admission fee, just a chance to try some really cool beers, talk with the brewers and meet with two great authors.

The Beer:
Pilot Batch #60 "Fall Back" is an English-style mild ale brewed with Cascade Hops from
J&A Farms of Goshen NY. The hops were hand picked and dried by the brewers. This beer also marks the first use of our 'Hop Back', a vessel we pack full of hops and force the beer through. Justin Sturges, Ryan Kipp, Chris Rome, Matt Levy, Nick Schwartz and Jeff Bialas all contributed to the brew of this English mild that comes out dark and fruity, yet mild, medium bodied for a nice & subtle early fall beer.

Not only did we keg this great ale for everyone to try in the tasting room and bring home in their growlers but the crew decided to cask some of the ale. But not just one cask, three casks all hopped with a different varietal for three slightly different variations on the original 'Fall Back'.

Cask #1: J&A Farm Galena Hops: Pineappley and Citrusy

Cask #2: Ryan Kipp's Nugget Hops: Earthy and Herba
l

Cask #3: East Kent Goldings: A Traditional English Hop for a Traditional English Style
