Today we get a peek at two new entries coming from the Stone Quingenti Millilitre series for 2013. These are Batch no 8 and no 9 in the series and they are of course packaged in the traditional 500ml bottles. On the surface we have Crime and Punishment, but if you dig a little deeper, Crime is actually Lukcy Basartd Ale with peppers added and aged in Bourbon barrels while Punishment is 2013 Double Bastard Ale with peppers added aged in Bourbon barrels. Crime was brewed on July 31st and it celebrates Arrogant Bastards 13th birthday because as a Lukcy Basartd it is actually a blend of all of the Bastard Ales (Arrogant, Double & oaked.) To that Stone has added an “absurd amount” of peppers including ultra-hot black nagas, Caribbean red hots, Moruga scorpions and fatalis. Crime use Kentucky Bourbon barrels, it will come in at 102 IBU and 9.6% ABV and be bottled in Oct 2013. Punishment uses a similar arrangement of peppers added to the 2013 Double Bastard as the base beer. Punishment also uses Kentucky Bourbon barrels and it will come in at 110 IBU and 11% ABV and it will also be bottled in Oct 2013.
