From Pecatonica Beer & Louis Glunz:

Louis Glunz Beer, Inc. is thrilled to welcome Pecatonica Beer Company to their roster of exceptional craft brews. The Gratiot, WI based brewery is releasing a series of handcrafted beers brewed in small batches now available to Chicago’s beer enthusiasts through Glunz Beers. The well-balanced, full-bodied beers from Pecatonica Beer Company were created to celebrate the history of Wisconsin brewing. The company’s ten founders grew up near the Pecatonica River and are all dedicated to crafting beer with the same patient nature of the region’s slow moving river.

“Pecatonica Beer Company is excited to be partnered with Louis Glunz Beers. We actively sought Glunz as a partner for its exceptional craft beer expertise, great reputation across the Chicagoland area and alignment in key business areas,” says Tim Quinn, head brewer and managing partner. “Glunz has the right resources and exceptional sales people to best represent our brand as a regional artisan beer company focused on brewing small hand crafted batches.”

The first beer from Pecatonica Beer Company to hit the Chicago market is the Nightfall Lager (5.9%ABV). Brewed with a blend of cascade, centennial and hallertau hops, traditional malts and local Wisconsin water, the beer is a testament to the flavors of the region. The dark chocolate beer is accented by a caramel center and finishes with light coffee notes. Be sure to ask for the new brew at your favorite watering hole.
