From The Gothamist:
So we only have ourselves to blame or thank for Your Official New York ice cream. It still needs a name, but it's made with Six Point Brewery beer, 3BEANS vanilla ice cream with a butterscotch swirl from Spoonable Caramels, brownies from Greyston Bakery and topped with caramel corn from Liddabit Sweets. Apparently they didn't take to our suggestions. Their loss.
The flavor and the name will be unveiled at Pier 57 today at 5 p.m. Unhappy with the flavors? There's still time to (maybe) effect change by giving your support to one of the potential names. They've narrowed them down to three: Borough Brew, Gotham Goodness and Moo York State of Mind. Borough Brew seems most appropriate (but how about 5-Borough Brew?) and harmonizes nicely with other B&J namings, though Gotham Goodness does have a ring to it. Go here and express yourself as part of a pandering publicity stunt.
