SAN JOSE, CA, July 1, 2013 /mbb/ -- Scott Fore, President of 2x4 Brewing & Imports LLC, is pleased to announce the recent signing of a U.S. Import and Representation agreement with Canadian craft brewer Parallel 49 Brewing Co. of Vancouver, British Columbia.
The agreement covers the distribution of Parallel 49's award winning beers and ales in 30 plus US states. Parallel 49 products imported under this agreement form part of 2X4's "Canada's Select Brews" TM, portfolio of award winning beers and ales from several Canadian craft breweries. Additional announcements will be made in the near future regarding other Canadian craft breweries that are entering into similar import and representation agreements with 2X4.
The Canada's Select Brews TM family of craft beers, ales and ciders will be offered to USA distributors and retailers as a package of high quality and unique products not currently available in the market. These products are not only award winning they also are brewed in Canadian locales that are natural and pristine. Their underlying stories and high quality provide excellent market appeal in the USA import craft beer market.
Parallel 49 Brewing Co., is located in Vancouver, BC, a city that is known internationally as one of the Most Livable in the world.Vancouver is currently experiencing a renaissance in craft beer making with over 20 new small craft breweries opening in the last five years. Parallel 49, a relative new comer has established itself as the fastest growing craft brewer in Canada. One reason for its success is the quality of its beers. In its first year of production Parallel 49 won four Canadian Craft Beer Awards, a Gold and three Silver medals.
According to Fore, "There are seven Parallel 49 products covered by the agreement. They include Vow of Silence Belgian Abbey Ale a rich full bodied Gold Medal winning Belgian style ale, and Salty Scot, a scotch ale with hints of caramel and a little bite from the sea salt used in the brew. These ales are un-paralleled! ".
Parallel 49 products will be available in limited release on US retail shelves in August 2013.
