Cigar City - El Murcielago New Label

image
The old label is here, and now today we get a peek at the updated label for Cigar City El Murcielago.  For 2013 this beer remains a Double Cream Ale Aged in Tequila Barrels with Cumin & Lime Peel Added and it will remain in 750ml bottles.  Looks like they’ve decided to make the Bat reference (El Murcielago) more subtle, but it’s still prominent in the label text and this is still described as a high gravity beer.

From Cigar City:

Cellarman Ryan is filling up tequila barrels! With what? It is the return of...El Murciélago! That's right, The Bat is back! This special beer is our double cream ale aged in tequila barrels with cumin and lime peel added. The result is a very southwestern delicious beer that is unlike anything else you've had. This guy is gonna sit in barrels for a while until it's tasting right and then we will be releasing the hell out of it!
