From Upland:

Upland  Brewing  today announced that on June 4 they will begin accepting entries for a Sour Release lottery to include their latest batch of Lambic-style ales. The lottery will be available online at http://uplandsours.eventbrite.com and will open at noon EDT. Winners of the lottery will have options to purchase these exclusive beers in limited quantity. More details on what will be ready for release and quantities will be available in the weeks ahead.

Upland  is recognized nationally and internationally for these sour ales, traditional Belgian beer style known as Lambics. Upland utilizes local fruits to blend with its Lambics, so brewing occurs only when these fruits are available.

As part of its Sours program Upland also holds an annual festival celebrating this beer category, the Midwest Sour Wild Funk Fest. This year the event occurs on Saturday, May 11 at 1:00 pm in Indianapolis. Upland will welcome over 20 breweries with more than 60 different beers. Tickets are available at http://uplandsourfest.eventbrite.com and include beer tasting, food pairings and a commemorative tasting glass. Partners for this event include Kahn’s Fine Wines and Spirits, Twenty Tap, and Great Fermentations Home Brew Supply. Keep Indianapolis Beautiful will receive proceeds.
