This malty lager is deep golden in color and medium in body. The finish holds a bold sweetness that is balanced by a subtle hop flavor and aroma. Bock-style beer is typically a lager that is often associated with the symbol of a goat.

Bock, the German word for “goat,” usually has the kick similar to that of this furry ruminant mammal. The Maibock style traditionally was produced in the winter and released in early May to celebrate the coming of spring. At Appalachian Brewing Company, we release our Anniversary Maibock each spring to celebrate our birth month!

Mugger ONLY Preview Dates: June 3rd – 6th
Release Date: June 7th

OG 13.8 | ABV 6.2 | IBUs 32

This unfiltered German lager is a revival of a classic brewing tradition. Brewed with three different Munich malts, this beer is complex with a balanced and smooth mouth feel. We fortify this malt profile with copious amounts of Czech Saaz hops. Each pint takes you back in time to a place where you could visit the Keller and drink fresh beer directly from the source. Ein Prosit!

The Auchenbach family (the namesake of this beer) built our Harrisburg brewery building to house their massive printing presses. The strength of our building is matched only by the strength of the horses that transported the large lagering casks to the top of the mountains to be stored in the famous kellers in Germany!
