Tomorrow might be May Day, but with the forecast, it will feel more like summer. That's why we're releasing our Saison the Beach tomorrow from 5 to 7pm at Oaks Bottom, 1621 SE Bybee Blvd. Boasting a unique spice mix, this beer's modest hop bill of Perle and Crystal takes a back seat to the grapefruit zest, black peppercorns, and candied ginger. Pale, Weyerman Pils, wheat, biscuit, and rye malts provide an equally complex grain bill, yielding a full-flavored brew with a dry, spicy finish. Come join us and order up one of our favorite spring seasonals!
At Sidebar this Wednesday & Thursday, we're serving up Electric Sheep IPA, the 5th in our Sci Fi IPA series, named for the Phillip K Dick's novel, "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep." This beer is bright amber in color with a citrus and tropical fruit aroma and flavor, and a slight resinous and piney hop bitterness. You'll also find our Dark Side Porter, Cellar D'or Belgian Farmhouse, Cherry Porter (aged in Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels with 35 pounds of sour cherries for almost three years), 2012 Blitzen Spiced Golden Ale, and Kick Axe Dry Hopped Pale Ale.
We also recently brewed the 6th beer in our Sci-Fi series, this time a collaboration with Abram Goldman-Armstrong. Gallifrey IPA is named for a fictional planet that is the home world of Doctor Who and the Time Lords. But you knew that, right? This beer will be on tap soon, and there's also talk of a Sci-Fi move night in June featuring all of our Sci-Fi IPAs, stay tuned for details.
