(New York City, NY) – The Empire Craft Allianceis proud to announce that The Fort Collins Brewery will be entering New York State with its network, a collective group of New York State beer wholesalers. The Fort Collins Brewery has been making exceptional quality Colorado craft beer since 2003, and will be bringing its Rocky Mountain IPA, Red Banshee, Chocolate Stout and other great beers to New York. The Empire Craft Alliance (ECA) was created to provide efficient seamless access to the entire New York State market for craft brewers, through a unified network of local independently-owned family businesses.
The ECA’s managing members are Jeff Vukelic of Saratoga Eagle Sales & Service Inc. (Saratoga Springs, NY), Sean Rose of Clare Rose, Inc. (E. Yaphank, NY) and Debra Boening of Oak Beverages, Inc. (Blauvelt, NY). By uniting wholesalers across the entire state, it makes ease of entry for potential craft brewers a primary focus of the group. Currently, no other organization in New York is able to provide a footprint that covers the entire state.
The ECA was established in early 2012 with the intention of providing a solution for brewers that are looking for distribution channels in New York, but would like to have uniformity in their approach and still have strong vested local presence in each individual territory. The group consists of 18 different wholesale operations, the majority of which are AB InBev distributors, along with two SABMiller houses. The relationship between these wholesalers is dynamic, and will allow, “one-stop shopping” for craft breweries looking to extend their footprint into New York.
The ECA is planning on launching its website, www.ECANY.com, sometime in early April. The website was developed in conjunction with Zoodle Marketing Group (Amherst, NY). The site will feature an interactive map, highlighting each county in the state, and the ECA member that distributes in that area; it will also include featured brewers, new acquisitions, and the ability to contact the ECA regarding distribution opportunities.
