From 3 Floyds:
With Dark Lord Day just a few days away we wanted to communicate with you important festival-related information. Please be advised that we will continue to update DarkLordDay.com and our Facebook page with any revised or new information.
First, regarding parking, do not cross the railroad tracks at any location other than 45th and Calumet Avenue. Second, all parking restrictions will be enforced.
Entering the Festival Grounds
When you approach the entrance gate please have your ticket and driver’s license, state ID or passport out and ready to be checked. The name on your ticket must match the name on your ID. If you are bringing a guest they need to enter the festival when you do.
Group A Line Up
Please approach Indiana Parkway from the north of the brewery. It is best to approach off of N. Superior Avenue and turn south onto Indiana Parkway. Group A may begin to line up outside the north gate beginning at 9am. As soon as the festival gate opens the Group A line will be brought directly into the Dark Lord sales queue. The sales queue is on the west side of Indiana Parkway.
Group B-E Line Up
Group B – E ticket holders may enter either the north or south gate. Please line up for your group 30 minutes prior to your group start time. Announcements will be made prior to each group sales start time.
Once you are in line and inside the brewery you will turn over your event ticket that you purchased online. Then you will receive your “Golden Ticket” scratch off ticket. The scratch off lets you know if you will have the opportunity to purchase a Barrel-Aged Dark Lord Variant. As always, you will be able to purchase other Three Floyds beer as well. Those with physical disabilities will be escorted to the front of the line at the start of each Group.
· One person is admitted per ticket
· One allotment per person
· One Golden Ticket per Music Today ticket holder

In an effort to reduce congestion and provide more Barrel-aged offerings to everyone, the Brewpub will not be open. This is a cash only event and credit cards will not be accepted. ATMs will be available on site.
Thank you and enjoy the 2013 Dark Lord Day festival!
Dark Lord is a gargantuan Russian Style Imperial Stout, with a reverse cascading head that starts out billowing the color of burnt oil like the Dark Lord rising from the black primordial beginnings. Its resonant vinous aroma has been described as cherries, sweet malt, molasses, burnt currants, plums with a port wine alcohol undertow. Mochachino notes buried within. Motor oil consistency, hellishly smooth yet divinely burnt and vinous. The first sip coats your palate with a palatial charred fruit and chocolate blanket. Alcohol burn wiggles its way down your throat with a thick body.
