CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Jan. 7, 2013) - Big Rock Brewery Inc. (TSX:BR) is announcing its newest addition to the Brewmaster's Edition, Helles Bock. Crafted from a complex blend of three malts, Helles Bock is sweet and malty with a light hop and at 6.66%, it has a devilish kick. In short, the perfect brew to warm up to on a cold evening.

It's been a busy season for Brewmaster Paul Gautreau. He and his team have had their hands full crafting innovative new brews for our growing Brewmaster's Edition stable. Helles Bock, the latest addition, is a strong blonde lager with a delicious sweet malty flavour brewed to bock strength. Balanced by Hallertau hops, the smooth golden texture of Helles Bock is Brewmaster Paul's interpretation of the bock, a strong German beer first brewed in the 14th century. Whereas bocks are typically dark in colour, Helles Bock is a light coloured, full-bodied lager brewed to bock strength.

If you want to know exactly where you can pick up a six pack of Helles Bock, or try it on tap, you can start your search by putting on your beer goggles and heading to our website's beer finder feature at www.bigrockbeer.com/beer-finder. Helles Bock is available in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba until May 2013.

The Brewmaster's Edition is an on going program that will release small batches of innovative brews on a seasonal basis. These crafty brews all share one very special ingredient - play. Featuring our most imaginative flavours and profiles, they are a product of our passion for innovation, our constant curiosity and our insatiable sense of adventure.
