Here’s a new one from Brewery Ommegang called Barrier Relief Belgian-Style IPA. Barrier Relief is brewed by Ommegang for Barrier Brewing in Oceanside, NY and I suspect this will be for Hurricane Sandy relief fundraising efforts. Brewery Ommegang offered it’s extra capacity to breweries affected by Hurricane Sandy and since Barrier brewing was closed indefinitely after the storm, Ommegang has stepped in to help out. This is keg-only so far…stay tuned for details.
Update 29 Nov 2012 from Ommegang:
The crew from Barrier Brewing Co. of Oceanside, NY was up in Cooperstown yesterday making a brew with the Ommegang staff. Barrier Relief Belgian IPA will help this brewery as they get back on their feet after sustaining damage from Superstorm Sandy. Keep your eyes open for this beer around New York and help support a great brewing company.
