Stone Brewing Co. has decided not to pursue a plan to sell beer in limited portions of Kit Carson Park, which would have included spending $250,000 on renovations to the south Escondido park's amphitheater and adult softball complex.
Stone chief executive Greg Koch said last week that the decision was based primarily on his rapidly expanding company's long list of ongoing projects, including a large restaurant opening soon in Point Loma, a tasting room that opened last month in Oceanside and expansion of its brewery complex in western Escondido.
