The canned beer freight-train chugs forward with two new Boise, ID beers coming from Payette Brewing Co heading to cans. Flagship beers Payette Pale Ale & Mutton Buster Brown Ale will be canned using mobile canning from Northwest Canning. Details from BoiseWeekly:
Two of Payette Brewing Company's flagship beers—Payette Pale Ale and Mutton Buster Brown Ale—will be available in cans later this month.
Canned brews will be sold at Payette’s headquarters at 111 W. 33rd St. in Garden City starting Thursday, July 26, and through local distributors on Monday, July 30.
“As it appears, we’ll have the first canned beer in the state,” said Sheila Francis, Payette’s director of marketing.
Payette has contracted a rolling cannery from Northwest Canning until it can afford a $100,000 cannery of its own. It has also purchased 209,000 pre-labeled cans, with labels designed by Drake Cooper Advertising Agency in Boise. The first run of canned beer will number 25,000
